An introduction to banana and its benefits

everyone likes to eat banana. It is an extremely healthy fruit that comes in
its own natural wrapper. Bananas are available almost in all parts of the
world. It is one of those fruits that could be eaten easily even by children
and seniors and could be eaten in its whole form.
Banana could be used in
salads, with yoghurt and ice-cream. Serving size of a peeled banana is nearly 7
inches long. It comes under the category of those fruits that serves as instant
energy booster. They are not only healthy and delicious but also contain lot of
essential nutrients. It is considered as a good fruit for digestion and weight
loss. It also helps to prevent heart diseases.
One medium size banana
contain several antioxidants and a good amount of fiber, it is mostly consists
water and carbs with a very little amount of protein.
Bananas are cholesterol
and fat free and contain a very little amount of calories. A medium size single
banana contains nearly 400 mg of potassium which is necessary for healthy
muscle and a good nervous system.
Banana is a fruit that
helps to improve our digestion system as
well as it helps in building up metabolism. As it is rich in fiber and
resistant starch it helps to prevent against colon cancer.
Bananas are rich in
fiber and nutrients. Nutrients help to moderate our blood sugar levels. It do
not cause spikes in blood sugar level to a healthy individual. It also helps to
control in reducing by slowing our stomach empty appetite.
Bananas are an excellent
source of vitamin C and vitamin B-6. A single banana contains nearly 10 mg of
vitamin C which is about 15% of our daily required amount. Vitamin C is necessary
for boosting our immune system. To grow new cells our body needs vitamin B-6. By
eating banana we nearly fulfill 35% of our daily requirement of vitamin B-6.
Banana also helps to
control blood pressure. We know that salt is very dangerous for blood pressure,
by using salt in our food means that we are welcoming to high blood pressure. Banana
is rich in potassium contents and has very low salt contents. It is advisable
to those who are with high blood pressure to include banana in their diet.
Banana is full of fiber;
it contains both type of fiber, soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber helps in
slowing down the digestion system that keeps you feeling full for a longer
period of time. High fiber is also very helpful in lowering the cardiovascular
and heart diseases.
Banana is a good source
of potassium. Potassium is very necessary for a healthy kidney function as well
it also control our blood pressure to normal. Banana should be eaten several
times a week; it reduces the kidney problem up to 50% and keeps our kidney healthy.
Due to high in fiber
and nutrients, and low in calories it could be helpful in weight loss. Most of
the athletes eat bananas to keep their weight in control.
